Good Morning, Roboticists!

Hardware crosses borders while software negotiates visas.

Figure 03 Goes 24/7

TL;DR: Figure AI CEO Brett Adcock revealed that seven Figure 03 humanoids are now running autonomously around the clock at its Sunnyvale headquarters. Powered by Helix 02, the fleet self-docks, wirelessly charges at 2 kW, and swaps units without human oversight.

OpenMind Turns to Robot Sales

TL;DR: US-based OpenMind is reinventing itself as a commercial bridge for Chinese humanoid robot makers entering global markets. Partnering with Unitree Robotics, UBTech Robotics, AgiBot, and LimX Dynamics, CEO Jan Liphardt acknowledges China’s hardware edge while positioning OpenMind’s OM1 AI system, US-hosted infrastructure, and localization services as a sales and compliance layer for overseas expansion.

7,000 Vacuums Exposed

TL;DR: A software engineer using AI tools to reverse-engineer his DJI robot vacuum accidentally gained access to nearly 7,000 devices across 24 countries, exposing live camera feeds, microphone audio, maps, and location data. He reported the backend flaw to the media, and DJI said it fixed the vulnerability through patches released February 8 and 10.

HII Taps Physical AI for Shipyards

TL;DR: US defense giant HII signed a memorandum of understanding with Path Robotics to introduce physical AI welding models into its shipbuilding production lines. After boosting throughput 14% in 2025, HII is targeting a further 15% capacity increase in 2026 to accelerate U.S. Navy vessel output.

Remote Drones Patrol Rural Australia

TL;DR: Police in Moree, New South Wales are testing remotely operated station-based drones flown from Sydney nearly 370 miles away. The six-month PolAir-rural trial uses self-launching DJI Matrice 4-TD units to respond to break-ins, track stolen vehicles, and monitor fires, giving regional officers real-time aerial intelligence without on-site pilots.

Unitree G1 Injures Operator

TL;DR: During a public demonstration in China, a Unitree G1 lost balance and kicked its operator in the nose while flailing on the ground, leaving the man visibly bleeding. The incident was captured on video and widely shared online.

NVIDIA Secures Industrial Robots

TL;DR: NVIDIA unveiled partnerships with Siemens, Palo Alto Networks and others to embed AI-powered, zero-trust security directly into industrial automation systems. Using BlueField DPUs at the edge, the initiative aims to protect connected robots and factory control systems from cyber threats while maintaining real-time performance and operational uptime.

Corvus Drone Operates at -29°C

TL;DR: Corvus Robotics introduced an autonomous drone system capable of working continuously inside frozen warehouses at temperatures down to -29°C. The Corvus One drone flies independently through storage aisles, scans barcodes and updates inventory records in real time, enabling round-the-clock stock checks without human operators in cold-chain facilities.
